Dr. Pickering received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph in 2001. In 2005, she graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario.
She moved to Massachusetts a year later, where she worked as an associate veterinarian at three small animal practices. During this time, Dr. Pickering honed her skills and discovered that there's a real need for a house call service in New Bedford, MA. She then founded the Pickering Veterinary Housecall Service to meet this need.
